What You’ll Do:
As a Food Service Associate at Hobo Pantry, you’ll play a key role in delivering a fast, friendly, and high-quality experience for every customer. This position blends food preparation with customer service in a dynamic convenience store environment.
- Prepare and serve a variety of fresh food items, including breakfast offerings, pizzas, sandwiches, and chicken, following company recipes and food safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with purchases
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit, and digital transactions
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage to ensure consistency and safety
- Restock inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Work collaboratively with team members to keep operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in food service, QSR, or convenience retail is helpful but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-energy environment
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a register accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Food handler certification is a plus (training may be provided)
- Comfortable standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
