Broker Dealer Operations Intern

As a Broker Dealer Operations Intern at Modern Woodmen of America, you will contribute to a variety of strategic goals and initiatives within MWA Financial Services, Inc. This multi-disciplinary position supports the operations, compliance, and marketing/product needs of our broker dealer and Registered Investment Advisory firm. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with systems and technology to enhance our service offerings, while learning directly from experienced Home Office staff. This role will deepen your understanding of financial services industry and diversify your skills in data analysis, research, systems, and investment products.

Responsibilities:

• Help with maintaining and organizing due diligence associated with our product offerings.
• Aid in the development of training for our registered representatives field force.
• Assist with financial planning and marketing research.
• Help in researching various financial services and compliance related topics.
• Assist with project implementation for various operations/tech, compliance and investment product initiatives.
• Collect, compile, analyze and report on financial and operating data.
• Support internal and external Web content review and conduct necessary site enhancements.
• Perform other duties as requested.

What we need:

• Currently enrolled as third- or fourth-year student working towards a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a business and/or data analytics major.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail oriented, exhibiting excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

• Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
• Work Arrangements: This is a full-time, 11-week office focused summer internship position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
