We're looking for an exceptional housekeeper to become a long-term part of our family's routine. This is a weekly recurring position in our approximately 3,000-square-foot home with four children and one friendly dog (our dog does not do well with men, so we're specifically looking for a female housekeeper).

This is not a "quick clean" position. We're looking for someone who takes pride in creating a home that feels reset, organized, and meticulously maintained from top to bottom after every visit.

Trust Comes First

Trust is our number one priority. The right person will be working inside our family's home, sometimes while we're away. Honesty, integrity, discretion, professionalism, and reliability are absolutely essential.

Weekly ResponsibilitiesKitchen

• Clean countertops, backsplash, sink, and faucet
• Wipe cabinet fronts and appliance exteriors
• Clean microwave inside and out
• Clean stovetop thoroughly
• Spot-clean oven as needed
• Wipe refrigerator exterior and handles
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Sweep and mop floors
• Straighten countertops and organize visible items
• Check for fingerprints, crumbs, and spills throughout the kitchen

Bathrooms

• Scrub and disinfect toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, and countertops
• Polish mirrors
• Clean fixtures until streak-free
• Wipe cabinets and drawers
• Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towels if supplies are available
• Empty trash
• Sweep and mop floors
• Remove dust, hair, and buildup from corners and baseboards

Bedrooms

• Make beds neatly
• Change bed linens as scheduled or requested
• Dust furniture
• Vacuum floors and under beds when accessible
• Organize visible clutter
• Fold blankets neatly
• Straighten nightstands and dressers

Living Areas

• Dust all furniture and décor
• Vacuum rugs and carpets
• Mop hard floors
• Straighten pillows, blankets, and furniture
• Wipe fingerprints from doors, trim, light switches, and high-touch surfaces
• Organize children's toys and common areas

Laundry

• Wash, dry, fold, and neatly organize laundry
• Fold clothes consistently and carefully
• Pair socks
• Organize folded laundry by family member when possible
• Notify us if specialty items require special care

General Household

• Dust ceiling fans within reach
• Dust vents
• Dust blinds and windowsills
• Wipe baseboards as needed
• Remove cobwebs
• Clean glass doors
• Vacuum stairs
• Spot-clean walls, doors, and trim
• Empty all trash cans
• Leave supplies organized
• Lock doors and turn off lights if you're the last one leaving

Monthly / Rotating Deep Cleaning

Each visit should include one or more deeper tasks on a rotating schedule so the entire home stays maintained year-round.

Examples include:

• Deep clean refrigerator shelves and drawers
• Deep clean inside oven
• Clean inside cabinets and pantry shelves as needed
• Wash interior windows
• Clean window tracks
• Dust high ledges and light fixtures
• Wipe doors from top to bottom
• Clean behind and underneath movable furniture
• Dust behind televisions and electronics
• Deep clean baseboards throughout the home
• Wash trash cans
• Vacuum upholstered furniture
• Clean under couch cushions
• Organize closets or storage areas when requested
• Wipe down laundry room appliances
• Clean garage entry and mudroom
• Dust and clean air vents
