Our Client Services & Business Development Manager is the bridge between our agency and the community we serve. You'll drive growth by building trusted referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and healthcare professionals — while guiding families through the intake process and ensuring every new client experiences the high standard of care that defines Home Matters.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a dual-focus position combining community-based business development and client services — two of the most critical functions in our agency's success. You'll work closely with the Executive Administrator to grow our client base across Middlesex and surrounding counties, while also serving as the primary point of contact for new clients from intake through early care management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Business Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with our top referral sources throughout Middlesex County, including RWJBarnabas Health, JFK University Medical Center, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and physician practices
- Follow up on all A Place for Mom (APFM) leads and additional prospect referrals in a timely and professional manner
- Represent Home Matters Caregiving at community networking events, health fairs, and healthcare partner meetings throughout Edison and surrounding communities
- Enter all prospect activity and business development outreach into HubSpot daily
- Collaborate with the Executive Administrator on strategy for growing referral relationships and client hours
Client Services & Intake:
- Perform initial client assessments and intakes as needed
- Input all assessments and care tasks accurately into agency systems
- Conduct client and caregiver introductions to ensure a strong start to each care relationship
- Perform initial and ongoing supervisory visits per Executive Administrator guidance
- Manage ongoing client and family relations, including care conferences and proactive communication
- Ensure all client files and paperwork are filed accurately and within required timeframes
Team & Reporting:
- Send a daily activity summary covering business development and client service activity
- Send a weekly summary report to the team by 4:00 PM every Friday
- Attend and report KPIs at the Monthly Business Review (MBR)
- Communicate proactively and effectively with all Home Matters team members
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in home care, healthcare sales, hospital liaison, or community outreach strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain referral relationships in a healthcare or senior care setting
- Familiarity with the Middlesex County / central NJ healthcare landscape a strong plus
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and comfort with technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required — this role requires regular community visits throughout Middlesex and surrounding counties
- Must be able to pass required background check
- Bilingual English/Hindi, English/Gujarati, or English/Urdu a significant plus given Edison's South Asian community
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Regular field time required for referral partner visits, client assessments, and community events
- Participation in monthly on-call rotation
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base Salary: $55,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience
- Performance Bonus: Incentive pay tied to client hour growth — your action is rewarded
