Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and the ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and community outings.
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records of care plans.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR techniques is essential; certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities, is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care techniques, and patient monitoring practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient support.
