Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver . The patient has been a quadriplegic since 1999. She has a very positive outlook on life and is very handicapable. She needs help with daily activities. ( bathing. dressing etc.)
Duties
- Provide attentive and compassionate patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of client.
- Assist client with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies and routines.
- Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home, following all health and safety protocols.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation as required, ensuring their comfort during outings or appointments.
- Provide first aid when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care or similar roles, particularly in assisted living or home health settings.
- Strong skills in patient observation and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of first aid techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to develop and follow care plans while maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding when interacting with clients.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules is essential. Computer savvy a plus
