We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide quality in-home care to clients. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, ambulation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and errands as outlined in each client's individualized care plan.
The PCA is responsible for following care plans, documenting services provided, submitting required paperwork on time, reporting changes in client conditions to the Nursing Department, and maintaining client safety, dignity, and confidentiality. Employees must follow agency policies, infection control procedures, and applicable New York State regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have completed an approved Personal Care Aide (PCA) training program or passed an approved equivalency examination and provide proof of completion.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a compassionate, respectful, and dependable attitude.
- Must provide proof of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
- Must meet all applicable pre-employment physical examination, health assessment, and immunization requirements.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment background checks and applicable criminal history screenings in accordance with New York State regulations.
- Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position and working in a variety of home environments.
