PCA Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to care for our loved one in a home setting. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to client in-home and community settings, ensuring her comfort and well-being.

Duties

1. Help Client with daily tasks

· Bathing

· Dressing

· Feeding

· Administer Medications

· Diaper Changing

· Repositioning

· Collaborate with other service providers (speech therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist)

2. Keep Client Safe

· Make sure client’s environment is safe (PICA disorder)

· Fall-Risk

· Seizure Precautions

· Aspiration Risk

3. Monitor Client’s Condition

· Monitor client’s health status

· Vital Signs

· Medications

· Report changes in condition, behavior, or appearance to client’s family.

· Solve Routine problems

4. Provide Companionship

· Communication Assistance

· Engage with client (talk to her)

· Watch television & movies

· Go for community outings (walks, shopping, movies)

- Aid in mobility assistance and transferring patient as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks for patient comfort

Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or medical-surgical environment, is preferred
- Familiarity with providing care in different settings like outpatient, inpatient facilities, or home
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Experience working with individuals requiring specialized care like those with developmental disabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
