- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly to verify accuracy of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support management decision-making.
- Handle payroll processing and related tax filings with precision and adherence to legal standards.
- Assist with budgeting activities and provide support for governmental or non-profit accounting requirements as needed.
- Support audit preparations by organizing financial documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to perform account analysis, double-entry bookkeeping, and maintain accurate journal entries.
- Perform bank statement reviews through bank reconciliation procedures to verify transaction accuracy.
- Support administrative functions such as data entry (including 10 key typing), document filing, correspondence handling, and scheduling.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles utilizing software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar financial management tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices (if applicable), and non-profit accounting procedures.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and financial report writing.
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll management experience.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry (including 10 key typing) and document management.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively across teams.
