Electrician

Home & Commercial Power Systems is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York, having installed over 5,000 home standby generators and having over 10,000 current preventive maintenance and service customers. We are looking for skilled and motivated Service Electricians to join our team!

Pay Range: $58,000-$75,000 per year DOE

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems for residential and commercial clients.
• Installing wiring, outlets, switches, light fixtures, circuit breakers, panels, and backup power systems.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Ensuring systems meet local and national electrical codes.
• Collaborating with other technicians and departments to deliver excellent customer service.
• Staying up to date with industry standards and safety protocols.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Replacing or repairing damaged wiring, outlets, and electrical components.
• Upgrading outdated systems to support modern appliances or improve energy efficiency.
• Educating clients on system operations and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Residential Service Electrician, with knowledge of residential and commercial systems.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
• Licensing: Journeyman Electrician license preferred; other certifications a plus.
• Attitude: A customer-focused mindset and a passion for learning and growth.
