What you'll do
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in client health status, promptly reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction, including memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued.
- Familiarity with hospice care, long-term care settings, or nursing home environments is advantageous.
