Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Male Live-In Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one care for a client in Seaford, NY. The ideal candidate will assist with personal care, daily living activities, companionship, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment while residing in the client's home during scheduled shifts.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and facilitating social interactions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, helping them engage in meaningful activities.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, personal care homes, or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
