Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and comfort in a familiar environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Monitor and document patient observations, including changes in behavior or health status.
- Assist clients with medication management and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare providers, and other caregivers regarding client needs and progress.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, memory care, or group home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to recognize changes in client condition or behavior.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- A background in nursing or healthcare is beneficial but not required.
