What are the responsibilities and job description for the Short-Term Rental Cleaner position at Home Base?
We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented STR Cleaners to ensure that our short-term rental properties are spotless, welcoming, and ready for guests. The STR Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high cleanliness standards and creating a positive experience for our guests. We are seeking our individual cleaners or a small company to partner with. This partner will integrate into our operation and be responsible for the cleanliness of our portfolio, paid on a 'Per-Clean' basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning and Sanitizing
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all areas of the property, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Change and launder bed linens and towels.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and remove trash in accordance with cleaning protocols.
2. Property Setup
- Stage the property to match listing photos and ensure a welcoming presentation for guests.
- Restock supplies, such as toiletries, kitchen essentials, and paper products.
3. Quality Control
- Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure the property meets cleanliness standards and address any missed areas.
- Report damages, maintenance needs, or missing items to the property manager.
4. Guest Readiness
- Ensure all appliances, lights, and fixtures are in working order before guest arrival.
- Verify that any special guest requests (e.g., extra towels or supplies) are fulfilled.
5. Adherence to Protocols
- Follow established cleaning checklists and safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate cleaning products and PPE.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred, especially in STR or hospitality settings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Access to reliable transportation.
