Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Caregiver role located in Tyler and Longview TX. Caregivers provide direct support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The role includes monitoring client well-being, following care plans, and promptly reporting changes in condition to supervisors or family members. Caregivers may accompany clients to appointments or errands, support mobility and exercise, and offer companionship and emotional support. The position requires maintaining accurate documentation of services provided and adhering to company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe mobility support.
- Skills in household support, such as meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and helping with errands and appointments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, offer companionship, and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Capacity to follow care plans, observe and report changes in client condition, and maintain clear, accurate records of services.
- Commitment to client safety, dignity, and confidentiality, including adherence to infection control and workplace safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field is beneficial.
- Reliability and professionalism, including punctuality, respectful conduct, and ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, such as standing for extended periods and assisting with lifting or transfers when necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for supporting clients with appointments and errands.
