Staff Accountaint / AR Claim Analyst

Location: Wilmington Branch | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM | Compensation: $70k – $80k/annually

We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Accountant / AR Claim Analyst working out of Wilmington. location. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Join Homans as a Staff Accountant / AR Claim Analyst and play a key role in our financial operations. In this hands-on position, you'll split your time between managing accounts receivable claims and supporting core accounting functions. You'll work closely with our FP&A team to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day operations. No relocation assistance is available for this position.

AR Claim Analyst Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly receivable claims for 16 vendors and manage associated reporting
• Organize Mitsubishi claim files by rebate code and create separate tracking sheets
• Generate monthly aged claim reports and submit to accounting
• Manage COOP (Co-op) vendor funding requests and track funding status
• Submit utility rebate requests to New England state programs
• Analyze and report on excess, slow-moving, and damaged inventory.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly, monthly, and annual revenue and inventory reporting
• Support the FP&A Manager in developing P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts
• Prepare and distribute month-end financial reports to senior management
• Contribute to budget and forecast development by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
• Handle special projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant / AR Claim Analyst

• 4–6 years of accounting experience (distribution environment preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to match credit and invoicing transactions accurately
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with Oracle Financial Software or similar financial platforms (a plus)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
