What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice on Call Nurse position at Holzer Health System?
The RN works under the supervision of the Director of Hospice. The RN will cover all time and duty required for week call; Monday - Friday; 16 hours (4 p.m. - 8 a.m.) as scheduled by the Director. RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care to patients. This is completed in the patient place of residence, within the hospital system; general in-patient, and any facilities, system or community, depending on patient placement and according to policies and procedures. The RN coordinates all Hospice care services provided by the Hospice agency. Other duties are performed as assigned.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
· Graduate of an approved Nursing Education Program.
- Current Ohio RN licensure
- A minimum of one year nursing experience required.
- Six months to one year Hospice experience desired.
- Commitment to attend Safe Driving Course when offered.
