What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist Assistant position at Holzer Health System?
All duties outlined within this document will be performed to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and Holzer Health System. Works with the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Performs direct physical therapy care in the acute hospital, out-patient, and rehab settings within the guidelines of the physical therapy treatment plan written by the physical therapist, to meet the assessed needs of infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients; and performs adequate documentation. Communicates with the physical therapist and physician as needed. Assist in formulation of Departmental, and hospital wide CQI activities.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program that is accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant licenses in good standing, or license eligible.
- Membership in APTA desirable.
- May be entry level therapist, but experience preferred.
Location: Holzer Health System · HMC Rehab Therapy
Schedule: Per Diem, Day Shift, variable hours M-F with weekends required
