Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects using industry-standard software.
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine material and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals.
- Monitor and report on project costs and budget adherence.
- Research and source potential suppliers and subcontractors for project needs.
- Maintain updated knowledge of construction industry trends and pricing.
- Develop and maintain a database of historical project costs for future reference.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in estimates.
- Provide detailed reports and presentations on estimates to stakeholders.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
- Utilize pipelines to forecast potential project success and resource allocation.
- Seasoned commercial estimator with six plus years of experience
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.
- Experience in cost monitoring and budget adherence reporting.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations for compliance.
- Ability to analyze blueprints and specifications accurately.
- Proven track record of sourcing suppliers and subcontractors effectively.
- Experience in using pipelines to forecast project success and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain and update a database of historical project costs.
