Responsibilities:
-Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Holy Trinity Catholic School
-Plans for instruction with specific learning objectives and logically sequenced lessons based on adopted curriculum
-Uses a variety of materials, resources, and instructional methods to actively engage students in learning
-Implements effective formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding
-Maintains accurate records and respects confidentiality in all school matters
-Practices consistent, positive discipline and communicates with parents when academic or behavioral concerns arise
-Participates in school-wide events, liturgies, and celebrations as a witness to Gospel values
-Collaborates with colleagues to enhance the learning environment and support student success
-Actively communicates areas of need and concern to the Principal
-Demonstrates professionalism through reliability, organization, and effective time management
-Supports the policies, Code of Conduct, and procedures of Holy Trinity Catholic School and the Diocese of Grand Rapids
-Encourages students to grow in faith by living out the Gospel message and modeling a life rooted in Catholic values
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
-Valid Michigan teaching certificate
-Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the teachings of the Catholic Church
-Willingness to obtain or actively working toward the Diocesan Catechesis Certificate
-Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
-Proficient in the integration of technology in the classroom
-VIRTUS trained or willing to complete training prior to start date
