Job description and responsibilities
- Content creation: Design a wide range of materials for both digital and print platforms, such as social media graphics, website assets, event banners, bulletins.
- Visual communication: Create visuals that align with the church's message, branding, and vision, working to convey core beliefs effectively through design.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Parish Operations Director and the Parish Social Media Manager, ministry leaders, and other staff to understand project needs and translate their visions into reality.
- Branding: Maintain brand consistency across all church communications and develop specific branding for events and ministries.
- Project management: Manage multiple design projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality. Project briefs are issued by the Parish Operations Director for each request.
- Design proficiency: Strong creative skills and expert knowledge of graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) are essential.
- Understanding of church culture: Familiarity with Catholic church culture, religious themes, and symbolism is important for creating relevant and effective content.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various staff members and provide customer support.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt designs for different platforms and audiences, as well as manage feedback and revisions efficiently.
- Organizational skills: Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
