Radiology Technologist - TPS

POSITION PURPOSE

The Radiology Technologist position is responsible for using medical imaging equipment to create pictures of a patient's body, which allows doctors to diagnose and treat injuries and diseases.

MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications

Experience:

EDUCATION:

• One (1) year experience and knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Computer Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR).

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current State of New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program Licensure (NMMIRT).
• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintained current throughout employment.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with practice leadership, physicians, advanced practitioners, colleagues and other HCMC and TPS team members.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with all members of the care team and with patients and family members. Strong problem-solving skills.
• Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to assist in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing the highest level of patient satisfaction.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
• Well organized, efficient task management and attention to detail skills.
• Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining calm, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• High level of integrity as demonstrated by appropriate treatment of confidential or Protected Health Information; adherence to policies, procedures, rules and regulations; professional conduct in dealing with persons internal and external to the organization; sensitivity to populations served by the organization.
