What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist - TPS position at Holy Cross Medical Center?
POSITION PURPOSE
The Radiology Technologist position is responsible for using medical imaging equipment to create pictures of a patient's body, which allows doctors to diagnose and treat injuries and diseases.
MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications
Experience:
EDUCATION:
One (1) year experience and knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Computer Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Associate’s Degree from an accredited school or college program in Radiology Technology.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current State of New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program Licensure (NMMIRT).
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintained current throughout employment.
Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with practice leadership, physicians, advanced practitioners, colleagues and other HCMC and TPS team members.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with all members of the care team and with patients and family members. Strong problem-solving skills.
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to assist in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Demonstrated commitment to providing the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
Well organized, efficient task management and attention to detail skills.
Must have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining calm, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
High level of integrity as demonstrated by appropriate treatment of confidential or Protected Health Information; adherence to policies, procedures, rules and regulations; professional conduct in dealing with persons internal and external to the organization; sensitivity to populations served by the organization.
A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
