The Assistant Director of Nursing partners closely with the Director of Nursing to support clinical operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring others and being present on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical and administrative operations
- Coach, guide, and lead nursing staff to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment built on trust and respect
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in survey preparedness and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with staff education, competencies, and performance development
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for best practices
- Active RN license (state-specific)
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulations, clinical standards, and survey processes
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to ethical leadership and continuous improvement
