IT Field Support Technician
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands on, customer focused IT Field Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide onsite support, diagnose and repair hardware issues, and help keep our technology running smoothly. If you enjoy solving problems, working independently, and helping users get back to work quickly, this is the job for you.
What You’ll Do
- Provide break/fix support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Diagnose and repair hardware failures (memory, drives, motherboards, power supplies, etc.)
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi Fi, cabling)
- Perform onsite device installations, swaps, and equipment refreshes
- Support OS and application troubleshooting (Windows/macOS)
- Maintain documentation, ticket updates, and accurate parts inventory
- Collaborate with remote support teams for escalations
- Travel to local or regional sites for onsite service calls
- 1–3 years of IT support, hardware repair, or field service experience
- Strong understanding of PC hardware components and troubleshooting methods
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in various onsite environments
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to get a TSA TWIC
