Responsibilities
- Prepare and set dining room and service areas according to BEO and department standards.
- Greet guests and answer questions regarding food items, beverages and service.
- Ensures all course and beverages are served promptly. This included plated, buffet style or family style events.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, clean and well-groomed as per standards.
- May present, open and pour wine.
- Assist with breakdown of salad dishes, glassware and linen.
- Follow all policy and procedures according to company and department.
- Maintains all work areas (cleanliness and safety) throughout shift, responsible for closing duties according to department standards.
- Maintains the highest standards of professionalism to guests and co-workers.
- Work quickly and under minimum supervision.
- Lift, carry, pull and push a maximum of 30 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Work quickly and under minimal or independent supervision.
- Lift, carry push and pull in excess of 75 lbs.
- Maintain excellent relations with co-workers.
- Communicate both verbally and written in English.
- Ability to focus and maintain attention and complete tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.
- Interact in courteous, professional and rapid manner with all guests and staff.
- Respond quickly to all guest or staff requests.
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas and storage facilities.
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length.
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel.
- Ability to be self-directed and make decisions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
