Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, and other repair needs related to the Harmar OTB.
- Assists in repairs of kitchen equipment.
- Troubleshoots and repairs minor plumbing and electrical problems.
- General knowledge of OSHA requirements and understanding/compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintains property appearance by repairing walls, floors, carpeting, and painted surfaces as needed.
- Assists Maintenance department with projects as assigned.
- Reports back to The Meadows Facility Manager regarding any major repairs.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of Engineering or facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or finishing trades.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of the proper operation of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in small areas, high areas such as catwalks, and dimly lit areas.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
