Role: Content Author (Sitecore)
Rate: $33-36/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications
Duration: Contract
Location: Cottage Grove, MN (Onsite 3 days)
What you’ll do
- Author pages in Sitecore (Experience Editor/SXA) based on detailed “recipe cards” from the Digital Marketing Strategist; turn briefs into production‑ready content efficiently and accurately.
- Rapid backlog reduction: prioritize and publish high‑impact pages to clear a backlog of “hundreds of pages” on client website
- Partner with the Constant Contact team to confirm content needs, campaign alignment, and timing; request clarifications or assets when needed.
- Collaborate with digital SMEs (a “Swiss‑army‑knife” cross‑functional team) to ensure pages meet marketing objectives and reflect best practices in digital.
- Apply SEO and accessibility standards (on‑page SEO, metadata, internal linking, headings, alt text; WCAG‑aware authoring).
- Execute structured content: follow taxonomy, tagging, component usage, and content governance guidelines; maintain consistency across templates.
- Quality assurance: cross‑browser/device checks; validate links, images, forms, personalization variants; fix issues before publishing.
- Content operations: track work in the backlog tool (e.g., Jira/Azure DevOps), hit SLAs, and provide progress updates and page counts.
- (Nice to have) Support A/B testing & personalization: collaborate with the personalization strategy workstream to set up page variants and tags for Sitecore AI/AB tests as this program is brought in‑house.
Qualifications
Must‑have
- Hands‑on Sitecore authoring experience (Experience Editor and/or SXA), turning briefs into published pages at scale.
- Proven ability to work from structured briefs (“recipe cards”) and produce clean, consistent content quickly.
- Strong grasp of digital marketing fundamentals—able to collaborate with SMEs and make sound content decisions.
- Working knowledge of SEO (on‑page) and accessibility practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail; adept at QA for links, media, components, and responsive layouts.
- Experience with content backlog tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and structured workflows.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Sitecore personalization/AI and A/B testing processes; comfortable partnering on in‑house testing initiatives.
- Exposure to Content Hub (assets/metadata) and component‑based authoring in SXA
- Basic HTML/CSS for troubleshooting within authoring constraints.
How you’ll work
- You’ll receive “recipe cards” from the Digital Marketing Strategist and produce content accordingly; collaborate with peer authors and the Constant Contact team to confirm inputs and timelines.
- Coordinate with the ongoing personalization/AB testing workstream to ensure authored pages are test‑ready as that program takes shape.
