The Holliston Public School District is seeking a dedicated Out-of-District Administrator to oversee the special education process and chair TEAM meetings for our out-of-district student population. In this vital role, you will serve as a key liaison, facilitating consensus and helping parents understand the IEP process.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as a Special Education Administrator or School Psychologist.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum five years’ of administrative experience within Special Education.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Interdisciplinary TEAM special education process and mandated special educator procedures
  • Proficient in understanding diagnostic and team procedures related to students with disabilities progress and eligibility for special education services.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate contact with families following a student referral, guiding parents through the referral/evaluation process.
  2. Establish and maintain comprehensive student files for all TEAM evaluation referrals, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Oversee and chair TEAM meetings, facilitating collaborative discussions to achieve consensus regarding student eligibility and special education services.
  4. Manage the scheduling and coordination of all initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and annual review meetings, ensuring strict adherence to 603 CMR 28.00 regulatory timelines.
  5. Manage the interpretation, and documentation of student assessment and evaluation data to inform IEP development and Extended School Year (ESY) eligibility.
  6. Supervise the preparation and timely completion of all mandated reports and compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  7. Oversee data collection and progress monitoring systems to accurately assess student growth and drive data-informed decisions regarding placement in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
  8. Coordinate and evaluate student progress monitoring systems, including conducting regular on-site program observations and facilitating collaborative program visits with families throughout the referral and placement cycle.
  9. Facilitate interagency collaboration and communication with state agencies—including DCF, DMH, DDS, and MassAbility—to ensure comprehensive wrap-around services for students.
  10. Contribute to strategic program planning and development to enhance student outcomes and placement success.
  11. Coordinate seamless student transitions to receiving schools, ensuring the transfer of records, continuity of services, and student readiness.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational and compliance needs of the department.

This role features a dynamic mix of direct student engagement and office-based administrative work. While daily operations are primarily conducted in an office setting, regular out-of-district travel is required to support our community and programs.

  

This position is benefits-eligible and is a member of the Holliston Educational Administrators' Union. Please note that the listed salary is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE). Annual contract term: 210 days per school year.

Public School employees of Massachusetts are required to submit their fingerprints to a National Criminal Database check. The check will require you to pay a fee of $55 if you hold an Educator’s License, or $35 if you are an unlicensed employee. In addition to the national background check, a satifsfactory Massachusetts Criminal Record Check (CORI) is required.

 

 

Salary : $104,526 - $127,551
