Sewing Operator

Position:              Production Sewing Position

Location:             New Braunfels, TX

Position Description:

Simpson, a leading manufacturer in racing safety products, has an opening for a full-time Production Sewer to work first shift at its New Braunfels, TX facility.   We are looking for a team-oriented individual with sewing experience, preferably in an industrial environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sews various types of fabrics and/or webbing material using manual and automatic sewing machines
• Maintains sewing equipment and clean work station
• Cuts fabric using hand held cutters and clicker press as needed
• Performs light assembly as required
• Adheres to all safety rules/regulations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Sewing experience preferred but will train if individual is open minded and has a strong desire to learn
• Organized with high attention to detail
• Dependable with excellent attendance record
• Ability to work in busy environment
• Available to work extended hours and some Saturdays as needed

Physical Demands:

• Occasional lifting/carrying of 20-40 pounds
• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling
