The firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Corporate M&A practice in the Stamford office. Ideal candidates will have 3β4 years of experience representing public and private companies, as well as private equity funds and their portfolio companies, in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and other commercial transactions.
Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and related transaction documentation, including stock and asset purchase agreements, merger agreements, and ancillary documents, as well as experience drafting and negotiating such materials. Experience advising clients on general corporate governance matters and day-to-day corporate issues is also important.
Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of maturity and business sense, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships. The ability to manage due diligence processes, coordinate with deal teams, and handle multiple workstreams under tight deadlines is essential. Excellent academic credentials are required and large national or international law firm experience is preferred.
