What You’ll Do
- Develop and oversee clinical departments orientation programs and annual competency processes in collaboration with the clinic and home care supervisors
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement process improvement initiatives
- Develop opportunities for staff to develop and enhance their skills and competencies
- Maintain a continuous educational program, based on the assessed needs for the organization
- Develop and manage vaccinations schedules for participants and staff; hold flu clinics, etc.
- Take the online CDC infection preventionist classes within one year of employment
- Degree/diploma in nursing and current state of Michigan Registered Nurse license required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience or supervisory experience is required
- Experience in clinical instruction/education is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred
- Knowledge of vaccine schedules, MCIR experience, tracking of vaccinations, and give vaccines
