Job Summary
This is a 40 hour, 5 day per week job, or a 48 hour, 6 day per week job if the candidate is interested in making more money with overtime and more hours. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team, all different shifts, overnight 6pm-2am, 1-9am and 1-9pm shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality breads, donuts, pastries, and desserts while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. We are also willing to teach a candidate that can follow direction and has some experience in a kitchen or bakery. Pay will reflect experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, donuts and other baked goods according to recipes and specifications.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistent quality in all products.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in cooking and baking techniques specific to baking and pastry preparation.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred.
- knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Ability to use kitchen tools effectively, including knives and other equipment required for food preparation.
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other bakery staff members.
