Holland Engineers is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Geotechnical/Construction Materials Testing Technician. This position works closely with the Construction Group Manager and fellow technicians to perform laboratory and field testing of soil, rock, and construction materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Construction/geotechnical testing technician duties will include the following:
- Perform laboratory testing under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and engineers.
- Perform concrete field testing and sampling.
- Conduct field density testing on soil and rock.
- Prepare logs of field data.
- Interact and communicate with field representatives, project managers, and office staff.
- Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of construction and earth related materials.
- Strong handwriting and data collection/documentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or anomalies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-compliance.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States and pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to job sites.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, and loading test equipment, soil samples, concrete samples (minimum of 50 pounds).
- Available for occasional work on Saturdays.
