Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with questions, product information, and checkout procedures
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product demos are set up properly
- Assist with inventory management including stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers
- Communicate effectively with customers using phone etiquette when necessary
- Support supervising staff in managing daily store operations as needed
- Promote a positive shopping environment through friendly interaction and professional demeanor
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse customer bases
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills required
