Line Cook (Dinner Shift) – Low-Stress Kitchen with Occasional Busy NightsHoliday Inn Grand Rapids AirportShift: 4pm–11pm closing (approx. 1 additional hour)We’re hiring a Line Cook to prepare simple, consistent menu items for our hotel restaurant.This is a mostly low-volume, low-stress kitchen with predictable flow and plenty of downtime — ideal for someone who wants a calmer environment than fast food or high-volume restaurants.We do experience occasional busier periods (especially during summer or group nights), but nothing close to the constant pressure of fast food or large chain restaurants.⭐ What You’ll DoPrepare simple menu items (flatbreads, wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads).Set up and stock the station before dinner service.Cook and finish items when orders come in — many items (like wings and chicken breasts) are prepped ahead for easy service.Maintain food quality, consistency, and safe kitchen standards.Close the kitchen, clean equipment, kitchen, and store food properly.⭐ What We’re Looking ForExperience as a line cook, prep cook, or fast-food cook (preferred).Ability to work independently — you will often run the kitchen solo.Reliability and consistency.Ability to handle occasional busy nights and stay organized.Good communication with FOH/bar staff.Ability to lift 20–30 lbs and stand during service.⭐ Schedule4pm–11pm, plus closing duties (about 1 hour).Full-time or part-time available.There can can be flexibility in the days you work/need off.
