What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Holiday Inn?
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our hotel in great shape. You will be the person who ensures our guests have a comfortable and safe stay by fixing issues quickly and keeping the building running smoothly.
Daily Tasks
- Fixing Rooms: Repair leaky faucets, unclog toilets, and fix broken lights or door locks.
- General Repairs: Patch and paint drywall, fix furniture, and touch up flooring.
- HVAC Care: Clean filters and check heating/cooling units in guest rooms.
- Pool & Grounds: Check pool chemicals daily and keep outdoor areas tidy.
- Safety Checks: Test fire alarms and emergency lights to ensure they work.
- Work Orders: Complete repair requests from guests or front desk staff.
What We Are Looking For
- Handy Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Problem Solver: You can figure out why something isn't working and fix it.
- Friendly Attitude: You will be working around guests, so a polite and professional manner is a must.
- Reliability: You show up on time and are ready to help where needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a similar trade (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
