Responsibilities

• Operate garment care machines including industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with precision and care.
• Handle laundry materials safely using appropriate sanitation procedures and detergents to ensure high-quality cleaning results.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry items efficiently using push carts and manual handling techniques, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine sanitation of equipment and surrounding spaces to meet safety standards.
• Assist with the proper handling of textiles and garments, ensuring they are cared for according to specific instructions for fabric type and cleaning method.
• Monitor machine operations for proper functioning; troubleshoot minor issues to prevent delays in laundry services.
• Follow safety standards in production by wearing appropriate protective gear and adhering to established safety protocols at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests or inquiries related to laundry services.
• Keep accurate records of laundry loads processed, maintenance activities, and safety checks as required.

Experience

• Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with laundry detergents, textile cleaning techniques, and garment care machines is advantageous.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy loads consistently throughout shifts.
• Basic math skills for measuring detergents or chemicals accurately and managing inventory levels.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures in a production environment is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of laundry care.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer interaction.
