Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks to maintain the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and structural integrity.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities projects, including upgrades or renovations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or installations while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or hospitality maintenance roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical systems; experience with PLCs is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding, residential painting, and general carpentry or handyman tasks.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Strong electrical experience complemented by the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee maintenance projects or team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety procedures; previous manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
