Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of all public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and organizing furniture.
• Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, polishing, and buffing floors to uphold safety standards and visual appeal.
• Manage janitorial tasks efficiently by handling waste disposal, restocking toiletries, and ensuring all cleaning equipment is properly maintained.
• Follow established protocols for industrial cleaning when necessary in back-of-house or storage areas to maintain operational standards.
• Collaborate with housekeeping management to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations related to custodial practices and chemical handling to ensure a safe environment for all staff and guests.

Experience

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with hospitality standards enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service.
• Demonstrated skills in cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and janitorial practices are essential for success in this role.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies will support efficient task completion.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry operations helps in understanding guest expectations and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Previous housekeeper management experience is a plus but not required; a proactive attitude towards teamwork and learning is valued.
