Front Desk Night Auditor

At the Holiday Inn Portland Airport, our Night Auditor is much more than a front desk associate—you are the overnight leader of the hotel. You'll welcome late-arriving guests, ensure the safety and security of the property, and complete the nightly financial audit that prepares the hotel for a successful new day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, solving problems, and making a positive impression on every guest. The position combines overnight guest service, financial reconciliation, hotel security, and operational support.

What You'll Do

Deliver Outstanding Guest Service

• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly attitude during overnight hours.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
• Answer questions about the hotel and local area.
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Create memorable experiences that encourage guests to return.

Keep the Hotel Financially Balanced

• Complete the nightly audit and close out the hotel's business day.
• Balance guest folios, room charges, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Generate daily financial and operational reports.
• Verify billing accuracy and maintain organized records.

Maintain a Safe & Secure Hotel

• Monitor hotel activity throughout the night.
• Follow hotel safety and security procedures.
• Respond appropriately to guest emergencies or unusual situations.
• Help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for every guest.

Support Hotel Operations

• Prepare reports for hotel management.
• Update reservations and room availability.
• Assist Housekeeping and Maintenance with overnight requests when needed.
• Help prepare the hotel for the morning team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Night Audit or accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with hotel property management systems (especially Opera) is preferred
• Strong computer and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
