What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Audit position at Holiday Inn?
The Night Auditor is responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift. Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, and balancing transactions. The Night Auditor must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. They must also be able to problem solve and troubleshoot in order to resolve guest issues that may arise while responding to emergency situations.
- Responsible for completing the Daily Flash Report including all back up reports generated by the PMS system. Daily Flash Reports are faxed nightly to the corporate office of the ownership group
- Responsible for ensuring that all deposits have been taken and all guest folios have either a paid balance or sufficient credit authorization to cover the balance of the stay
- Responsible for checking all in-house reservations and correcting any posting errors
- Responsible for processing all no-show reservations
- Responsible for submitting credit card batches through the credit card interface daily and verifying that amounts submitted match PMS receivables reports
- Responsible for sending a detailed list of hanging balances and other folio issues daily to the General Managers and Front Office Manager for follow up, correction, and training
- Responsible for light laundry work including washing, drying, and folding linens, properly storing away
- Must be able to climb stairs, and move around the property(s) helping guests
