Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with our front-of-house team. This is a dynamic role, where individuals will perfrom a variety of tasks from hosting, bussing tables, bar backing, food running, and expediting orders, to plating desserts.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage seating arrangements, and provide menus
- Set up station
- Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Support the kitchen staff by ensuring that all necessary supplies are stocked and available during service.
- Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or catering settings, is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests alike.
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining dining areas, as well as bussing tables efficiently.
- Knowledge of food handling practices is essential; kitchen or hotel experience is a plus.
