Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests during late check-ins, early departures, and overnight inquiries with professionalism and hospitality.
- Perform nightly audit procedures by reconciling daily financial transactions, balancing accounts, verifying folios, and preparing summary reports for management.
- Manage front desk operations during overnight hours, including processing payments, checking in/out guests, and handling reservations or modifications.
- Address guest concerns or requests promptly, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the night.
- Monitor property security by conducting routine property walkthroughs, ensuring all doors are secured, and reporting any suspicious activity.
- Operate hotel management and night audit software accurately while maintaining detailed records of financial activity.
- Respond to phone calls professionally, provide information about hotel services, and assist with wake-up calls as needed.
- Prepare and organize documentation for the next day’s shift, ensuring a smooth handoff for morning staff.
- Assist with light laundry, lobby cleaning, or restocking tasks to maintain a clean and organized environment overnight.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the manager to support overall hotel operations.
Qualifications
- Prior hotel front desk or night audit experience is preferred but not required with proper training.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills, with the ability to reconcile accounts accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills and a calm, composed demeanor when handling guest issues.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems, reservation software, and basic accounting principles is an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Must be able to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.75 - $12.00 per hour
