What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Sales position at Holiday Inn Orlando East - UCF Area?
The Holiday Inn Orlando East - UCF Area Hotel is looking for an experienced, positive and energetic Director of Sales (DOS) to head the Sales Department. The hotel is transitioning to a Crown Plaza and prefers a candidate who has Upscale Hotel Experience.
The DOS is responsible for driving room and banquet sales for the hotel, as well as overseeing, energizing and motivating the entire Hotel Team. The DOS will coach, train and mentor as necessary and be a key part of the Management Team. As a DOS, MOD duties, assisting with problem resolution, handling guest relations and assisting in any other areas of the hotel as needed, will be required. The individual must have a team player attitude, be outgoing, professional and hardworking.
A successful proven track record in Sales, particularly in a hotel environment, is required. Knowledge of the UCF/East Orlando Area is preferred. Prior experience with IHG systems and properties is preferred.
This is a full time position, availability on Weekends and Holidays may be necessary at times. Only candidates with prior Hotel Sales experience will be considered.
