Housekeeping

Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing guest room cleaning as assigned. This position ensures all rooms meet cleanliness standards, safety requirements, and IHG brand expectations. The role supports guest satisfaction by ensuring rooms are clean, well-presented, properly stocked, and guest-ready.

Essential Functions

· Clean guest rooms according to established standards.

· Make beds, change linens, and ensure proper presentation.

· Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and mirrors.

· Report maintenance issues found during cleaning.

· Ensure rooms are properly stocked with amenities and supplies.

· Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.

· Follow safety procedures for chemical handling and PPE.

· Support additional tasks such as deep cleaning and special projects.

Specific Responsibilities

· Clean and service guest rooms and bathrooms following standard procedures.

· Ensure beds are made correctly and rooms meet brand standards.

· Replenish guest room supplies and report shortages.

· Keep carts and closets clean and organized.

· Assist with laundry or public areas as needed.

· Maintain professionalism with guests and coworkers.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions / Schedule Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts. Must be flexible and may be required to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to push/pull up to 60 pounds.

· Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

· Must be able to see, hear, speak, and read English.

· Must demonstrate professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness.

Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
