What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Engineer - WE ARE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT position at Holiday Inn Express?
We are looking for a dependable, motivated Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team!
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems, working independently, and helping keep a property looking and operating at its best. Hotel experience is helpful, but we are also willing to work with the right person who has a strong work ethic and is eager to learn.
What You’ll Do
As part of our maintenance team, you will help keep our guestrooms, public areas, pool, exterior, and back-of-house areas safe, clean, functional, and guest-ready.
Responsibilities may include:
- Complete preventive maintenance in guestrooms and public areas
- Perform basic plumbing repairs
- Troubleshoot minor electrical issues
- Repair doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Patch and paint walls
- Complete basic HVAC/PTAC troubleshooting and maintenance
- Assist with pool and spa maintenance
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
- Inspect guestrooms for maintenance concerns
- Maintain exterior areas and hotel curb appeal
- Assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and supplies organized
- Identify problems early before they become larger and more expensive repairs
- Work with vendors when professional repairs are needed
- Follow hotel safety standards and IHG preventive maintenance procedures
