We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
- Handle dry cleaning processes as needed for specialty items.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
- Ensure that all laundry is completed in a timely manner to meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating equipment and handling cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel setting, is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
