Hotel Houseperson

Job Title: House Person

Hours: 11a-5p, no set days, weekends as needed

• Must have a valid driver license
• Must provide driving abstract at the time of hire

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Vacuum and remove trash from all hallways throughout shift.
• Assist housekeepers with trash removal from guestrooms.
• Sweep and/or remove trash, cigarette butts, etc. from exterior of the hotel. Empty trash cans and replace liners, both interior and exterior.
• Maintains the cleanliness of public areas including restrooms, breakfast room, hallways, and lobby areas
• Dust and polishes furniture, light fixtures, and elevators.
• Window and door cleaning
• Maintains a safe public area by placing rugs and wet signs at all entrance doors so guests do not slip or fall.
• Pick up or drop off guests to and from the airport as needed.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Ensure guest requests are completed.
• Function space setup and cleanliness
• Special projects and light maintenance as needed

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 65 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Basic HVAC, plumbing and electric skills a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
