Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of all hotel facilities including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, carpentry, and building interior components to identify potential issues early.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, mechanical devices, and facilities equipment using hand tools and specialized diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and schematics.
- Troubleshoot complex problems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring, and mechanical systems to restore optimal functionality swiftly.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule routine upkeep tasks efficiently.
- Lead small teams or supervise maintenance projects when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed on time.
- Execute building interior maintenance tasks such as painting (including residential painting), carpentry repairs, drywall patching, and general facilities upkeep to maintain a pristine environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repairs that minimize guest disruption while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality or residential settings with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and HVAC system layouts is essential.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools including hand tools and diagnostic equipment like ohmmeters is required.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance team is advantageous but not mandatory; candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills in English for effective team coordination.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments involving facilities equipment maintenance will be considered a plus.
