What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance position at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sidney, Ohio?
Purpose:
To provide clean and well-maintained rooms, public areas and the exterior property as well as perform preventative equipment maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Implement preventative maintenance program according to established standards.
- Complete daily room repairs (repair orders).
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical/electrical systems and equipment throughout the hotel.
- Service the hotel pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
- Remove all debris from public corridors and empty all interior and exterior trash receptacles daily or more frequently if necessary.
- Clean lint from dryers
- Clean and change air conditioning filters.
- Check and replace exterior lights, interior lights, emergency lights.
- Perform maintenance on vacuum cleaners.
- Clean and delime ice machines.
- Remove debris from parking lot and sweep canopy and entry areas.
- Maintain landscaping of exterior property.
- Assist with removal of ice and snow from all entrances.
- Maintain log of all repairs
Additional Duties:
- Assist room attendants in flipping mattresses on a quarterly basis.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Assist guests in an emergency situation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Physical ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds, reach, climb, grasp, finger dexterity, stand and walk.
